- Dave Litchfield is resurrecting the bypass handicap runs - once the pavements become safe to run on again and we can breathe without gasping in the freezing air - they're good fun and an excellent test of your fitness. They are likely to be on Tuesday nights - the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
- Tony will be starting off-road runs in the new year for those who want to come along. The routes will be posted on the website well in advance of the scheduled date to give you a chance to recce them during the day. If you don't normally venture off-road then this isn't for you. All runners must have a decent headtorch and appropriate footwear. Wet feet, scratches and the occasional pitch head-first into the ground are to be expected....... Pace will be about 8 mins/mile for anything upto 75 mins. A slower group might also be possible if we get enough leaders.
w/c 29th November 2010:
- The Club AGM was held at the Dewdrop Inn on 30th November. Darren has handed over the reins to Dave Litchfield as the new Chairman for Ilkeston RC. Many thanks to Darren for his 3 years in the role and we look forward to his continued involvement with the club as a team member and helper at races.
- Be careful on the frozen pavements. Get off-road if you can and wear studded shoes for training. Better than landing on your backside!
