Friskney Half Marathon - 05.03.2006

Carol and I ventured to the admittedly flat, but very windy Fenland for this event - between Boston and Skeggy - mainly as a warm up for the Prague Half Marathon on 1st April - no joke!

Despite still suffering a bit with a niggle, which hopefully the Club's many medical experts - Jeff/Eleanor and Catherine - are getting to grips with, Carol returned as first Lady V45 and received a very nice award.

Carol finished in 110 place overall in 1.57.08. I finished in 82nd place in 1.45.18 and despite running all the XC events this year, struggled in the last few miles due to a general lack of mileage.

The winner was Rob Keal from Redhill in 1.15.48, with the first lady being Julia Barthop from Valley Striders in 1.28.20. Well done Carol!!
