Derby Midweek Races - these are held on Wednesday evenings in Derby and are routed along the Alvaston Bypass. Good, fast, flat 1mile race at 7pm and 5k race at 7:20pm. See http://www.runningwithdavid.com/sections/events/run_derbys/midweek.html for details.

Winter xc leagues 2011/2012
Please come out and run the cross country leagues. They are light-hearted races held in local parks. Hot drinks and biscuits afterwards maybe and a chance to swap tales of how easy/hard/muddy/snowy/hilly/grotty it was and how you're never going to get your shoes clean etc etc...
Booth Decorators league races (BDL) start at 11am on sunday mornings and are usually about 4-5 miles.
North Midland league (NML) races about 8km for ladies & 10km for men. They run on saturday afternoons at 1:25pm for the senior ladies race and 1:55pm for the senior mens race.

All races start at 11.00 am prompt with the single exception of the second fixture which will start at 11.05 am (Remembrance Sunday)
Summer time trials
As usual, we will leave promptly from the Rutland at 7pm for a warm up run to the start which is the gated junction of the Nutbrook Trail at the north west corner of the Shipley View estate. The course continues up the trail from the gate, left at the T junction, around to the left past the riding stables, through the dip and round to the right. After 10m immediate left and then follow the track down to the stream, over the wooden bridge and up the climb to the start. Continue on for a second lap. This course is about 5.1km long.
