Parkrun Championship December Update

 

With 9 months complete in the Parkrun Championship here is an update on the scores:

 

Andy Aiston leads the championship with 76 points with Richard Myers in 2nd on 72 points. Tania is 3rd overall with 69 points and leads the ladies championship too. Craig Matthews is 3rd in the Mens Championship (60 points), whilst Kerstine (46 points) and Heather (41 points) are 2nd and 3rd in the Ladies Championship. Andy, Rich & Tania all extended their leads at the top with Christmas Day parkrun PBs.

 

A reminder of scoring points, the usual 1 point for a parkrun still applies, and 2 for volunteering. Points are also available for an overall PB (2 points) a Course PB (1 point), and an Age Group point (1 point). Points are also available in the club Handicap (3 points for running, 2 for a PB [summer & winter, separate]).

 

Well done Lee Francis on his 250th Parkrun this weekend, as well as Barnaby Read on his 100th. Congrats also to James Read & Craig Matthews on both running 50 parkruns in 2024 alone. James has topped the age group category in 21 parkruns in the 2024-25 season, more than anyone else. A whopping 39 club members have topped their age group at a parkrun this season.
