    Next Race ... Race #4: Carsington Water, July 9, 2025, starting at 7:30 PM

    The Derby Runner (or BDL) Summer League is a series of summer running races, primarily for local clubs, that focuses on providing a fun and social atmosphere for runners of all abilities. These races are typically around 4.5 to 5 miles long and involve trail running, but road shoes are usually suitable. They are a great way to connect with runners from other clubs and enjoy the camaraderie of the running community. These races are free to enter for our members

    Race 3 - Denby
    10th June 2025

    The Denby race is part of the Derby Runner League (DRL), formerly known as the BDL. The Denby race is the third in the summer league series and took place on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, at 7:30 PM. The race takes place at Denby Pottery,. The route is approximately 4.5 miles and includes 89m of ascent, with three laps within a nature reserve and along the pavement on Street Lane. 

    The race was won by Heanor RC .First male back for IRC was Sam Waddingham in 20th place. Melissa Denman was our first Lady back home  we had a fantastic 35 runners in atredance

    Race 2 - Cromford 
    6th May 2025

    Cromford is the second race of the summer season. The race is known for its challenging "Sheep Pasture Incline," a 1.5-mile climb with a 6% gradient. The race also includes flat sections along the canal and a finish across the events field.

    Race 1 - Teversal 
    15th April 2025

    he Derby Runner (BDL) League kicked off its summer season with a race at Teversal on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025. The race is a 4.5-mile (7.4km) relatively flat trail run, with long open straights that tend to keep runners together. The race serves as a race against the fading daylight of early evenings, with the sun setting soon after 8 pm
